Jagannatha Varma

K. N. Jagannatha Varma is an actor in Malayalam film and Television serial. He is also an accomplished Kathakali artist. His son Manu Varma also a recognized artist and his soninlaw Viji Thampi is a wellknown film director. He acted in a number of Malayalam movies performing stereotypical roles of a senior police officer, judge or a priest. Some of his noted roles were in movies New Delhi, Lelam and Pathram.

He is born as third among five children to Thekkedathu Kovilakam Kerala Varma Thampuran and Kattunkal Kovilakam Ambalika at Varanad, Cherthala, Kerala. He has four siblings Raveendranath, Malleenath, Surendranath and Prabhavathi. He had his primary education from Muriyanat School, Cherthala Boys high School, Sanadhana Darma College, Alappuzha and graduated from M.G. College with Zoology, Botany as Main subject. He is married to Santha Varma, who is from Anjerimadom, Thrissur. The couple have a son Manu Varma, who is an accomplished Television actor, and a daughter Priya. Famous Malayalam movie director Viji Thampi is his Soninlaw.
